Registration and attendance at the spring evaluations is required to be offered a position on a U10, U12, U14, or High School team.  All players MUST be in good financial standing with NKYHA or their prior club to participate in the NKYHA 2019-20 evaluations.   A player’s acceptance of an offered position is secured by making a commitment deposit of $300 towards 2019-20 fees.  All U10, U12, U14, and High School players attending spring evaluations will be offered a position on a team.

For HS aged players either the Varsity or one of two JV teams.
***2005 birth year players entering 9th grade in the fall are encouraged to play High School hockey at NKYHA for the 2019-20 season.   Any 2005 birth year player in 8th grade or below must play on the U14 team.   The league the HS teams participate in require players to be attending high school in the 9th-12th grade.

NKYHA is planning to offer one U14 team in 2019-20.   The expected level of play is with other area MYHL teams.
For U10 and U12, players will be offered a position on either one of the BTHL (aka Travel) teams or an MYHL team.

Like last year, U8 will conduct a player skills and evaluation session during the association spring evaluations.   Parents and players will receive feedback on overall skill development and progression.  U8 will also have a commitment fee due in the spring.  Similar to the commitment process for HS, U14, U12, and U10 teams, a U8 commitment fee ($TBD) will allow the organization to better plan the U8 program based upon the number of players committed for the 2019-20 season.

Details on additional assistant coaches/team staff, USA Hockey registration, NKYHA registration, commitment fee, and jersey ordering process will be available as the 2018-19 season winds down and the spring season begins to ramp up.

Thank you,
Marc Webb
NKYHA President

Amazon Smile and Kroger Community Rewards

We have two new passive fundraising opportunities for NKYHA members, Amazon Smile and Kroger Community Rewards. Here is some info on both programs and easy info on signing up.

Amazon Smile

Do you shop Amazon.com? With a little change in the site address you go to from www.amazaon.com to using www.smile.amazon.com your purchases can begin helping NKYHA with charitable contributions from Amazon based on a percentage of your purchases.

To get started, click here →  https://smile.amazon.com/ch/26-3940371 , this link will take you to a dedicated page for NKYHA for you to choose as your organization of choice. Please note the organization description may show Equestrian Club, we are working to have the fixed.

After setup, remember to go to www.smile.amazon.com to do your shopping. I recommend setting this as your new bookmark in your web brower(s). Please note, Amazon Smile is not available for use of purchases through the Mobile App however you can shop and add to your cart via Mobile App and then loginto Amazon Smile from a webbrwoser to finish the transaction.

Kroger Community Rewards

So you're a Kroger shopper, you use your reward card for Discounts and Fuel Points right? Did you know in your Kroger account you can link NKYHA as your choice for Community Rewards. It runs in the background and has no effect on your Discounts and Fuel Points. Let’s get you signed up....and maybe any friends/extended family...the more people enrolled the more we benefit.

A digital account is needed to participate in Kroger Community Rewards. If you already have a digital account, please see the section titled “Selecting an Organization.”

How do I register for a digital account?

Creating a digital account is as simple as 1, 2, 3! Simply visit www.Kroger.com or download the Kroger Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play, and follow these directions:

Select the “Register” button.
Enter your information.
Select “Create Account.”
Please make sure that you add your Plus Card number or create a virtual Card number while registering your digital account. This is required for the Community Rewards program so that your transactions apply toward the organization you choose.

How do I select an organization?

Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Community Rewards selection on your digital account.

Sign in to your digital account.
Select “My Account.”
Scroll down to the “Community Rewards” section of your account page.
Select “Enroll Now” or “Edit.”
Enter the name or NPO number of the organization that you wish to support. NKYHA NPO# is 82725.
Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save.”
Your selected organization will now display in the Community Rewards section of your account.

Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program.

It takes approximately 10 days for the Community Rewards total to begin displaying on your receipt.

Do you already have another organization linked to your rewards account? You are allowed to swap so maybe think about splitting up and sharing with NKYHA...say 6 months of a year?
