Our Mission is to provide the youth of the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area, the highest quality youth sports program. The Association believes that participation in team sports can be an important ingredient in healthy youth maturation.
NK Norse house hockey is a recreational hockey program for players of all skills and abilities. All players are welcome to register at the appropriate age group and will be placed on a team. Although we conduct evaluations, evalutations are done to create balanced teams in each age group.
NK Norse house hockey teams practice one to two times per week, and play one to two games most weekends between November and February. A typical season will have 25-30 practices and 20-25 games.
In cooperation with other area local house hockey organizations, NK Norse house hockey teams schedule games at a variety of local rinks including our home rink NKIC, Sphere (formerly SportsPlus), Indian Hill Winter Club, Oxford Goggin, Springboro South Metro, Kettering, and Troy, Ohio.
The group of associations participating in the scheduling co-op form the foundation of the Midwest Youth Hockey League (MYHL). The season culminates with a league tournament at Miami University's Goggin Ice Center in late February.
